We are hiring
Are you passionate about technology and want to work with cutting edge machine learning solutions and products?
Sentian is a fast growing start-up that works with Data Science and AI and their applications in an intelligent solutions for Industry 4.0. We love building custom models to solve previously unsolvable problems. In these problems, fields of mathematics, statistics, programming, computer science, and others are combined, which offers a rich and exciting environment to work in. We are based in Malmö, and we are looking to hire a number of people to fill-in the great demand for services in these areas.
We expect you to
Have positive attitude and prowess in learning new skills and tools. In fact, it is much more important that you are excited about testing new things (models, tools) outside of your comfort zone, rather than having expert knowledge within a small domain.
First and foremost: be a natural problem-solver. Having a genuine interest in finding solutions and designing algorithms is paramount for the work that we do.
Effectively do independent research in order to make informed decisions regarding the implementation of tasks. Major decisions regarding architecture and feature prioritization will of course be discussed with the team.
Avoid biases as much as possible. Going with what you know well might be comfortable, but testing new is necessary for building your toolbox.
Hold a sharing attitude. We do R&D and believe in sharing experiences with each other by holding informal gatherings where we discuss projects and news in the world of AI.
We are looking for you with knowledge equivalent to a master of engineering, for example computer science, engineering physics, or engineering mathematics and experience corresponding to a few years' work in the business sector. Knowledge and experience that have been gained in another way are taken into consideration as well, such as home projects (for example, on github).
Programming experience, at least one year (Python merit)
Comfortable with open source operating system and tools (Linux, SSH, Git, etc..)
Be able to formulate and convey technical problems clearly in speech and writing
Collaboration oriented personality
Be able to model, implement and analyze algorithms within AI and machine learning
(Excellent) understanding of traditional and modern machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Random Forests, CNN, RNN, LSTM, GAN, etc.
Experience with common data science tool-kits, such as NumPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow, keras, MatLab, R, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable.
Experience with data visualisation tools
Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL.
Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
Extending company’s or customer’s data with third party sources of information when needed
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
Other related knowledge and experiences are meritorious and will be taken into consideration. If you feel that you are interested, send your CV and personal letter to email@example.com, and we will get back to you shortly. If you hesitate - apply!
