Our strengths lie in both machine learning (with a focus on model-based reinforcement learning, or MBRL) and mathematical optimization.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for problem solvers with a genuine interest in finding and designing solutions.
To us it is much more important that you are excited about testing new things (models, tools) outside of your comfort zone, rather than having expert knowledge within a small domain.
You are able to effectively do independent research in order to make informed decisions regarding the implementation of tasks and to ask for help and feedback when needed.
Sentian works in small, agile teams and collaborates closely.
We believe in learning from each other and facilitate learning both in dedicated, individual education time and team- or company-wide knowledge sharing sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Build cloud-based full-stack systems
  • Continuous integration and delivery
  • Designing, building and packaging cloud native applications
  • Infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists to learn the technical implications of using different types of machine learning models

Skills and Qualifications

Our optimal candidate

  • Has knowledge equivalent to a master of engineering, and a few years of professional working experience, however knowledge and experience acquired in a different matter can be taken into account. We care about your skills more than your qualifications
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production use cases
  • Solid knowledge of software architecture (serverless, microservices, etc.)
  • Is comfortable with open source operating systems and tools (Linux, SSH, Git, etc..)
  • Is able to formulate and convey technical problems clearly in speech and writing
  • Is collaboration oriented
  • Has experience working with AWS
